Lyft has a much lower quality of standard in Houston than its competitor. The app is also missing useful features like live geolocation when you change your pick-up location by walking somewhere else. They have no extra security features like 2FA pin codes for the passenger and rider. And the app lacks a screen beacon to make it easier for the driver to find a rider.

The new view is extremely unhelpful. I can either see the map of where the driver is or see the driver details. The old view showed me a zoomed in view of where the driver was and the driver details in one screen. Not sure why they would change it and require the user to constantly have to swipe back and forth. Why make the app less usable?

Lyft needs to sort out the "schedule ahead" feature. I want to schedule the RIDE -NOT schedule the request. It seems that this would be beneficial for all -a future ride, locked in with a driver etc. What's not to like? Charge a bit more if necessary -unless excessive, an up charge would be worth the security of knowing the ride is booked. Or, offer a discount as it would be a locked in, "guaranteed" customer. In this case, a cancellation fee or non-refundable portion would be reasonable.
